Becoming a Park Explorers member is free! To join, Become a Member.

Our Field Trip Membership comes with Park Explorers already included. If you'd like to be only a Park Explorers member, choose the free Park Explorers option.

If you are already a member, go to Manage Account and click on Community. From here you can choose to join Park Explorers.
2. What is our Park Explorers program?

There are so many amazing parks in our community just waiting to be discovered! Each month, Park Explorers gathers at a different park in our community so homeschooling families can explore somewhere new, let the kids run, and connect with other families.

We believe that homeschooling works best when families collaborate, share resources, and build lasting friendships.
3. What members can expect
- Park Meetups 1-2x a Month: We rotate parks so your family always has somewhere new to explore, and your kids always have new friends to meet
- Parent Support Network: Connect with other homeschooling parents who understand your journey and can offer advice, encouragement, and friendship
- The Whole Family Is Welcome: From toddlers to teens, everyone belongs here.

Today on our field trip to @reuniontower, we got to meet rope access technicians working high above the city to repair one of the tower’s lights! ?

Fun fact: the technician in orange shared that he was actually afraid of heights as a kid. Such a great reminder that fears can turn into amazing careers! ?

I'm an adorable reindeer ...whyyyyy don't I fit in!" 🤣🤣🤣 First of all, I'm impressed how much of the lyrics they remember from just watching the show one time! But also, I love that they enjoyed the show that much that they are sitting here singing the songs 🤣🙌🏽 We really enjoyed being able to see 'Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer' today with Casa Mañana. My boys are 5 & 8 and they really enjoyed it! The cast was a blast!!" We look forward to The Wizard Of Oz!

Big thanks to Dallas Area Rocket Society (@dallasarearocketsociety) for an incredible lesson on flight, propulsion, and the science behind getting a rocket off the ground. Each child built and launched their own rocket. We learned how thrust works, why fins matter, how altitude is measured, and what makes a safe launch.

This was hands-on learning at its best — loud, exciting, unforgettable!

On Friday, we set out on our very first Homeschool Day Trip — and what an adventure it was! ? Thank you to everyone who joined us. Our charter bus took us from Dallas to San Antonio for a guided tour of @naturalbridgecaverns, where we explored stunning cave formations and learned all about geology in action. From there, we headed to San Marcos for a wetland tour and a glass-bottom boat ride with @themeadowscenter at Texas State University. It was incredible to see the crystal-clear spring fed by groundwater beneath us!

We finished the day with dinner and playtime at @hatcreekburgers (Woodway) before heading home.

Today, Field Trip Fridays learners embarked on a virtual journey to Iceland's Reykjanes Peninsula for an up-close exploration of a volcano during eruption.

Each child had the opportunity to pilot the drone as we discovered in real-time how volcanic activity shapes our planet's geography.

Thanks to our expert guide and @natureeyeco for this incredible learning experience.

We achieved the closest possible view of the volcano—even closer than the news helicopters flying overhead! We had to be careful not to melt the drone!

Thank you to @sixthflrmuseum for hosting a group of our Teen Learners for a day of learning about President John F. Kennedy.

The Teens worked in groups during a workshop: Conflicting Evidence: 24 Hours after the Kennedy Assassination. The Teens became crime scene investigators, evaluating evidence found within the first 24 hours of the assassination of President Kennedy. By studying primary sources and images, Learners worked to evaluate the accuracy and gain a better understanding of the historic events of November 22, 1963.

We are looking forword to returning for more middle and high school workshops!
